Poludnica Run

Poludnica Run is a mountain race in the Low Tatras with a course length of 23 km and an elevation gain of 1600 meters. The route mainly follows marked hiking trails, through beautiful south-facing single tracks in the forest, a rock city, and the Poludnica peak with panoramic views of Liptov and the Tatras. The event is part of the Slovak Skyrunning League and the Skyrunner® National Series Slovakia, serving as a qualifying race for the World Skyrunning Championships. The atmosphere is friendly, and the course is considered one of the most challenging in Slovakia within its category. The last edition of this event will take place in 2026.

Registration opens on March 23, 2026. Check-in and pickup of race bibs are on race day from 07:00 to 08:40 at the start area. The mass start is at 09:00. The maximum number of participants is 200. There is a refreshment station at 19 km. The course is considered one of the most difficult in Slovakia within its category. After the results are announced at 14:00, a raffle will take place with tickets costing 2 €. The event is part of the seasonal ranking and ITRA point collection, with the possibility to earn points for the World Championships. The event also includes a raffle, a hot meal, and free parking.
