Strečnianska mašľa

Strečnianska Mašľa is a mountain ultramarathon and long-distance hike around Strečno, taking place on 13 June 2026. The event offers two routes: a challenging 50 km route with approximately 2,985 metres of elevation gain and a shorter 25 km route, which is also suitable for runners with dogs. The routes follow marked hiking trails through both parts of the Malá Fatra and part of a national park, with the start and finish at the Radinové football field in Strečno. The organizers provide race packs, prizes for the top finishers, and good conditions for participants.

Participant limits: 300 for the 50 km route, 300 for the 25 km route, and 50 for the 25 km route with a dog. Race numbers and chips are assigned by the organizers. Mandatory equipment includes a first-aid kit, valid identification, insurance covering Mountain Rescue Service intervention, a charged mobile phone, a personal drinking container, a whistle or bells (recommended for the 50 km route), a map or GPS route, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Overnight stays are possible in the changing rooms or tents at the football field. Accommodation is also available at Pizzeria Alžbetka and SIP ŽSR Strečno. The race offers certified routes; registration opens on 1 March 2026. The event is part of the Slovak Ultratrail League, and the course passes through Malá Fatra National Park.
