Žaškovský minimaratón

Žaškovský minimaratón is a traditional running race held for the 55th time in the village of Žaškov in Orava. The course mainly runs along forest paths and village streets, approximately 12.4 km long with an elevation gain of around 600 meters. Runners are warmly welcomed by local residents of all ages during the race, creating a friendly and family atmosphere. This mini marathon is part of the Šípsko - Fatranské runs series and is suitable for all running enthusiasts who want to enjoy the beauty of Orava's nature and the sporting spirit.

The course was previously routed through Dierová, later changed due to the closure of the bridge over the Orava River. Runners are welcomed by locals, with spectators of all ages including older residents. The race is part of a series of various running events in the region. The events include distances from 100 m to 12 km, with categories for children, youth, and adults. The event also features historical results and photo galleries. The race takes place in the village of Žaškov near the Orava River, with registration starting at 9:30 and the start at 11:00.
