Race description
Kysucký marathon is the second oldest marathon in Slovakia and an important sports and social event in the Kysuce region. The course runs through the picturesque Kysuce valley along the Kysuca River, with a safer and more attractive route on a running cycle path from 2025. The event includes, besides the marathon, a half marathon, marathon relay, and a mini marathon for children. The start and finish are at Matičné Square in Čadca in front of the Cultural House. Runners compete in various age categories, and participants have access to refreshment stations and facilities including changing rooms and wellness services.

Additional information
The start and finish of the race are at Matičné Square in Čadca in front of the Cultural House. There are 8 refreshment stations along the course. Refreshments are provided after the race. Participants have access to changing rooms, a swimming pool, and a sauna at the local swimming pool. The marathon time limit is 5 hours for 40 km; exceeding this time may affect placement in the results. The course is on certified routes, with refreshment stations on the course, changing rooms, a pool, sauna, and post-race refreshments. Online registration is open until June 1, 2026. Organizer insurance is not included.
