Beh na chatu pri Zelenom plese – Memoriál K. Jakeša

The Run at Chata pri Zelenom plese is a mountain race designed for sports and nature enthusiasts, suitable for both amateur and professional athletes. The event has been held regularly since 2005 during the second weekend of June and commemorates Karel Jakeš, a prominent Czechoslovak mountaineer. The course leads through challenging mountain terrain with significant elevation gain, making the race a challenge for all participants. The goal is to connect various sports groups and offer them a unique experience in the beautiful environment of the High Tatras.

The event is organized with financial support from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic. The race unites athletes, runners, climbers, skiers, mountaineers, cyclists, and ski mountaineers into one sporting community. Registration for the 20th edition has closed. The race will take place in June 2026, with registration available on the official website. The course starts at the bus stop Biela voda and ends at Chata pri Zelenom plese, suitable for runners of all levels with a love for mountain challenges.
